In this course, students will grow as writers by exploring the art of storytelling and developing their own unique voice. Through structured lessons and creative writing activities, they will learn how to create interesting characters, build vivid settings, develop engaging plots, write natural dialogue, and communicate meaningful ideas while reading and analyzing examples of strong writing and applying those techniques in their own work. As they progress through the writing process from planning and drafting to revising and editing, students will gain confidence in their writing and a stronger ability to turn their ideas into clear, engaging stories.
This course uses our Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes (KSA) model to give students the opportunity to develop both real-world 21st Century Skills and Social and Emotional Learning Soft Skills to develop college and career readiness.
