BYU Independent Study core and elective credit courses are available to all high school students preparing for admission to the University of California, California State universities.

BYU Independent Study courses give students the freedom to manage personal needs and goals. Our more than 100 UC-approved online courses provide anytime, anywhere alternatives to semester-bound, in-seat high school courses. Students leverage our courses to fill credit gaps, recover lost credit, graduate early, meet personal or family needs, and much more.

BYU Independent Study is a UC-approved private high school. Credits earned through BYU Independent Study high school courses are accepted at all University of California schools, all California State University schools, and nearly every other university and college in the United States.

BYU Independent Study's high school program is accredited by Cognia and Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.

BYU High School Suite provides California high schools and school districts turnkey access to online high school curricula as a publisher of A–G approved courses for admissions to UC and CSU universities. Schools and districts license High School Suite content to be used by their teachers in online, credit recovery, and blended learning environments.
