Course Description:
In this course, students explore how matter and energy are transformed rather than destroyed, uncovering the cycles and processes that move matter through Earth’s systems. They will study how natural resources are formed and used, and how scientists use data and technology to monitor weather patterns and predict natural events. By the end of the course, students will understand how matter, energy, and Earth’s resources shape the world around them. This is the second half of a two-part Eighth-Grade Science series. This course also encompasses Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

This course uses our Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes (KSA) model to give students the opportunity to develop both real-world 21st Century Skills and Social and Emotional Learning Soft Skills to develop college and career readiness.
